Chairman, Caroline Abel Smith OBE, welcomed over 60 delegates from 18 countries to London and excellent, stimulating addresses were given by the Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP, Attorney General, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP, Chairman of the International Office, the Rt Hon the Lord Howell of Guildford, Minister of State at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Dr Syed Kamall MEP London Region, Darren Mott, Deputy Director of Campaigning and Stuart Hand, Deputy Director Best Practice.  All speakers generated numerous questions from delegates.

Rt. Hon. The Lord Hurd of Westwell addressed members of the Mallorca Branch of Conservatives Abroad on Friday 17th June at the Santa Ponsa Golf Club. He was accompanied by Edward Young from CCHQ who collaborated with him on his book ‘Choose Your Weapons’. The Conservatives Abroad Conference 2011 is to be held in London in October, following on from the Party Conference in Manchester. The day before the Conference (Thursday 6th October), we are organising a tour of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, followed in the afternoon by a visit to Churchill's Cabinet War Rooms and Museum on Horseguards. In the evening, there will be a dinner at the St Stephen's Club. The main, one-day conference is the day after, Friday 7th October, also in Westminster, London.

A highly successful 2010 Conservatives Abroad Conference was held in Krakow, Poland commencing with a Dinner on Friday evening hosted by Timothy Kirkhope MEP and the European Conservatives & Reformists Group.  Over 70 delegates attended the Conference from 15 countries and Chairman Caroline Abel Smith OBE welcomed everyone to Krakow before handing over to Marek Matraszek who, as Chairman of Conservatives Abroad Poland, hosted the weekend.
