Conservatives Abroad in Bahrain (CAB) held their annual reception on the fringes of the recent IISS Manama Dialogue 19-21st November 2023.
The CAB reception was hosted by Michael and Heather McKinlay and a panel of CAB Members including Mark Carpenter and Nick Carter. Guests heard from and posed questions of UK visiting politicians including the Rt Hon Lord Soames of Fletching PC, the Rt Hon David Davis MP, Colonel the Rt Hon Bob Stewart MP, Robert Seely MBE MP, Royston Smith GM MP, and the Rt Hon Liam Fox MP. Charlotte Leslie, Managing Director of the Conservative Middle East Council also attended. Amongst the guests were Alastair Long, HM Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain and HE Khalid Rashid Al Zayani OBE, Honorary Chairman of his family’s firm Al Zayani Investments BSC.
