Gulf Tories Meet in London

Monday, 28 January, 2013

The evening provided an excellent opportunity for visiting Gulf Tories to meet fellow members and friends in the Capital that enabled London based supporters to catch-up and discuss ongoing events in the Gulf.

Speaking after the event, Douglas Hansen-Luke, Chairman of Gulf Tories and the individual responsible for organising and hosting the event, said:

“I am delighted that the first drinks event was such a success. It was brilliant to be able to catch up with colleagues from the Gulf who were passing through London and to discuss developments in the region.”

“I was also very pleased to meet a number of new individuals from other Conservative organisations who were able to join for the evening. I hope that this will encourage new members and supporters to join for the next event in March“

The event was attended by:

Heather Harper - Patron of Gulf Tories and Chairman of Conservatives Abroad
Douglas Hansen-Luke - Chairman of Gulf Tories
Abi Green - Secretary of Gulf Tories
Bashir Siman - DTI Ambassador to the UAE for the Financial Services Industry
James Stewart - Treasurer of the Scottish Conservatives
Rosamond de Sybel - Journalist and former editor of the The Gulf

Joanna George – Chief Executive of The Conservative Party Foundation

Alexander Woollcombe - Director of UK and European Public Affairs for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
