A special reception was hosted last night by Conservatives Abroad Bahrain Chairman, Sandy Whitford, for Lord Astor of Hever, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence.
Honorary Patron of Bahrain Conservatives Abroad, Khalid Alzayani attended the reception that included the global Chairman of Conservatives Abroad, Heather Harper, Patron of Gulf Tories. Conservatives Abroad is an organisation which keeps expats connected to current events in the UK and gives its members a chance to meet UK government officials personally.
Other guests at Mrs Whitford's residence in Seef included Chairman of Gulf Tories, Douglas Hansen-Luke, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Conservatives Abroad, Peter Michelmore OBE, Chairman of Dubai Conservatives Abroad, David Haigh and many members of the organisation and dignitaries.
Lord Astor, who is attending the Manama Dialogue, will also meet Bahraini leaders during the visit.
