Voting from abroad is a big con. By the time you receive and return the postal ballot papers, the election is over and your vote will not be counted. Yes you can vote by proxy, give your vote to someone else? no way!
What we need is to be able to elect our own MP who can represent us Ex Pats. Even though I think it is a complete waste of time, I can and will vote but what on earth can a MP for the Wakefield constituency, do for me? I am 1,950 miles south west of Wakefield, on an Island way out in the Atlantic. I have never lived in Wakefield and I am unlikely ever to go there,
