What a difference a Monty makes

The reality is I am a very very fickle sports fan.
Just a week ago I was complaining at the state of English sport, today, in my eyes, everything is right with the world - THE ASHES ARE NOT OVER YET!
As I woke up this morning and switched on teletext I expected to see either England […]

The Cricket

I decided against posting anything about the cricket yesterday, just because I was so down hearted about the whole thing.
We seem to be turning into the English football team - the coach just picks his favourites - not the best players!
I don’t know why we enjoy supporting sporting teams. Whether it be football, cricket, rugby, […]

The First Test

Trescothick to miss Ashes series
The breaking news this morning is that Marcus Trescothick’s stress related illness has returned and he has flown back to the UK.
Is this good news for the England team?

The Ashes - 10 days to go

Welcome to the first of a series of blogs that will continue throughout the Ashes series.
Today was going to be a day of doom and gloom.
The first warm up game was a disaster, and England were pretty awful in the field again yesterday.
But what a difference a day makes.
England can bat again!
At the end of […]

One Day Cricket

Why are we so bad at one-day cricket?
Surely we play enough of it to be good?
